Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Barcelona on Sunday, demanding the release of what they deem to be political prisoners, and the implementation of a Catalan Republic.

And now, the power of attorney wants to decide who can get elected to the Catalan Parliament, who can choose the legislative power as new president of the Generalitat (Catalan government), therefore, as executive power."
