Spain’s Parliament has voted to oust Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, over a corruption scandal swirling his party. Rajoy was removed from office after he failed to garner enough votes to survive a no-confidence motion.
The motion placed Socialist leader, Pedro Sanchez, with absolute majority to take power. The no-confidence vote was proposed by the opposition Socialists. They accused Rajoy of failing to take responsibility for his party’s corruption scandal that includes charges of money laundering and tax crimes.
