The United States is terminating the 1955 treaty of amity with Iran that governs bilateral economic and consular ties between the two nations, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced in Washington D.C. on Wednesday.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States should have pulled out of it decades ago and that it was an absolute absurdity to not terminate the treaty.
