France: President Trump Visits Suresnes Military Cemetery on WWI Armistice Centenary

US President Donald Trump visited the Suresnes military cemetery, in the western suburbs of Paris, on Sunday, to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War.


President Trump gave a brief address and presented the Secretary of the American Battle Monuments Commission Major General William M. Matz Jr. with a U.S Flag in honour of his service on the commission.


The cemetery at Suresnes is the resting place of 1,541 American soldiers killed in the First World War as well as 24 of the unknown dead of the Second World War.
